Domain Hosting Costs Money
Buying a website usually means paying monthly, or in my case yearly. This site runs on two main domains I pay for out of pocket: infinitecampus.xyz and instructure.space - about $70 a year combined. If that's not paid, the site goes down.
Server Hardware Upgrades
api.infinitecampus.xyz and the Infinite Campus Discord bot run on two Raspberry Pis (RP3 and RP5). status.infinitecampus.xyz and the rest of the sites run on third-party systems that could be upgraded - movie streaming, uploads, and anything database-related would all get faster.
It's A Passion Project
This site and everything linked from it is built by me in my free time, still in high school, around schoolwork and everything else. There's usually no real benefit to me for running it so might as well make a little money where I can, without cutting or restricting anything that already exists.
